New House

Just wanted to give everyone a small update on our new house. We had some snags along the way, but all the kinks have been mostly worked out and we are set to close on August 24th. I have been spending most of my time packing up boxes and de-junking, which is a great process for me, all our stuff. Since Alex has lived in our current place longer than me there have been a few surprises along the way. Like, what is this and what does it go to? And, has this always been here? Alex and I are very excited for this new chapter of our life.

I t has been eons since I updated my blog page, but I vow to you all now that I will strive to do better. There has been some monumental things happen in the last six months since I last posted. Alex and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary, Alex turned 30, we are house hunting etc. All very exciting stuff to all of you reading this I know! We recently took a vacation to California and visited Angels stadium, Universal Studios, Disneyland, Huntington Beach and Catalina Island. It was very exhausting and a lot of fun all at once. Here are a few pics from our vacation.
My husband keeps me laughing everyday! He was so patient at disneyland even though it really wasn't his thing.
In case you didn't know this is Matt, my California boyfriend. He was so generous to stop and take a picture with me. Although I was more excited to see Jason Bourne...sorry Matt!
Alex got in trouble with Homer for hitting on Marge, but apparently she set him up...very scandalous!!!

I just thought I would post our pictures from our drive to Herriman on Christmas morning. My little honda civic stood the ultimate test of driving in Utah. I really didn't think we were going to make it. Alex had to get out of the car at one point and push my car down the hill because there was so much snow keeping us from going forward. Our marriage stood the ultimate test as well. I am not very good at keeping calm and I am lucky he didn't kick me out of the car and make me walk. I was really nervous! I wasn't scared for my life, just that we would get stuck and spend christmas in the car. We eventually made it after a plethora of profanities and anxiety to last a whole year. The day actually turned out wonderful considering how the day started out. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

November 20, 2008

It's been a very fun and eventful week for me. The long awaited day for Twilight finally came. I tried to prepare for the late night we were going to have but it just reminded me that I am getting old. The movie started at midnight and got over around 2:30. We didn't get to bed until 3:30 and then got up at 6:00. I felt like a zombie the rest of the day, but well worth it. I really enjoyed the movie and actually went back and saw it again on Saturday by myself.

Wednesday night was the Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town concert. Bradley, Chris and Heidi all got tickets for their birthday. Laurianne is such a great sport to tag along with my family. I love our concert memories. It was a very good high energy concert. We all had a great time. We had dinner at Chili's and then headed over to the sold out concert at the E-Center. Concerts are my way of getting away. I forget all my troubles and just listen to the music that inspires me everyday!

Twilight Movie

Well, it's official. I am now a new member of the twilight saga. I started Twilight to prepare for the first movie coming out thinking it would take me that long to read it, and much to my very pleasant surprise I am 100% completely addicted. I am now reading Eclipse (the 3rd book out of a 4 book series) and will probably finish the whole series by then. I resisted as long as possible but I finally gave in and I am so glad I did too! Maureen and I got our midnight tickets and we'll be there with the rest of the crazies! I can't wait.

Halloween!!

Alex and I went to a Halloween party hosted by his work friends. It was fun, but I guess I am just not a party kind of girl (especially when I don't know anybody) however, I did get a kick out of watching my husband trying to dance (which he only does when he gets a few drinks in him and in the privacy of our own home of course). So those of you who never get to see him dance, this is what it looks like. It always makes me laugh! The reason I say that parties aren't for me is they had this game where everybody chose a puzzle piece. Then you had to find the people at the party that completed your puzzle and do a skit based on what was written behind the completed puzzle. My groups puzzle said "A man was impregnated. Who done it and how?" Well I didn't want to do the skit and I don't like being put on the spot, so then I just got in a bad mood. After all is said and done it was a pretty fun party. I am just learning that I need to step outside my comfort zone sometimes. And if your wondering I did not do the skit...maybe next time.
